The problem
The enterprise application stack has become ungovernable
Modern enterprise applications are a mess of separate systems held together by integration code. They are complicated to architect, painful to build, and expensive to maintain for the life of the application, and the architecture itself leaves real performance on the table.
ekoDB collapses that stack into one platform, with AI agents that help design, build, deploy, and support what you run on it.
Without ekoDB
Each one also needs its own scaling, patching, monitoring, and on-call coverage, for as long as the application runs.
With ekoDB
One platform
What's inside
Everything your backend needs, in one binary
Multi-model storage
Document, key-value, and vector data in one engine, with one query path over all of it.
Full-text and vector search
Hybrid search for RAG and semantic retrieval, built in. No second database to keep in sync.
In-database agents
Agents run inside the deployment, under the same auth, transactions, and encryption as your data. Their memory and the functions they write are rows in the same engine.
Real-time APIs
REST, WebSocket, and SSE with live subscriptions, available the moment a collection exists.
Security from the start
AES-256-GCM encryption, audit logging, and field-level permissions, on by default rather than bolted on.
Built in Rust
Predictable latency under load, and performance that meets or beats the tools it replaces.
The agentic experience
Tell your agent what you want to build, and your backend builds itself
Spin up a cloud-hosted agent server in a couple of clicks, connect your own OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini key, and start working with an agent that can operate the platform for you.
One chat, full control
Talk to your platform in plain language instead of moving between dashboards, consoles, and docs.
Designs and builds your backend
Describe what you need. Your agent proposes and creates schemas, server-side functions, and the schedules that run them without it.
Manages and scales deployments
Your agent monitors, tunes, and scales what you have running, within the limits you set for it.
Runs on your schedule, wakes on your data
Give it goals and scheduled tasks, and it keeps going without being re-prompted. A write to your data can start a full agent turn on its own, in its own session.

FAQs
How is ekoDB different from assembling a database, a vector store, and an agent framework yourself?
Most enterprise AI stacks are stitched together from a primary database, a separate vector store, a retrieval layer, and an agent framework, each with its own authentication, scaling, and failure modes. ekoDB runs them as one governed platform: document and key-value storage, full-text and vector search, native RAG, and an in-database agent runtime share the same authentication, per-operation encryption, and audit trail. That removes the second vector database and the custom RAG plumbing, and it means every retrieval and every agent action is governed the same way your data is. ekoDB works with OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), and Google (Gemini), and teams can bring their own model keys.
How quickly can a team get started?
ekoDB is a fully managed platform: provision a deployment and start building without standing up infrastructure, installing extensions, or orchestrating separate services. The platform is free to try for a limited time, so teams can evaluate on real workloads before committing. Client libraries are available for TypeScript, Python, Rust, Go, and Kotlin with consistent APIs across all languages, and real-time subscriptions, full-text search, vector search, key-value storage, and document queries all work out of the box.
How does ekoDB scale to production workloads?
ekoDB is engineered for performance at every level. You can tune durability vs speed globally or on a per-operation basis, so you're always in control of the trade-off that matters for your workload. Intelligent caching keeps hot data instantly accessible, and storage modes let you optimize for low-latency reads or match the engine's layout to your workload. Ripple, ekoDB's replication engine, streams changes between ekoDB instances in real time, so you can scale reads across regions and keep a warm standby without downtime.
How does ekoDB handle security and governance?
ekoDB encrypts your data at rest and in transit and layers on governance built for regulated environments. Every record ID is encrypted by default, and per-operation encryption lets you protect sensitive fields individually. Built-in authentication handles tokens and API keys with no third-party auth service required, and role-based, collection- and field-level permissions let you enforce least-privilege access. Every operation can be audit-logged, rate limiting protects against abuse, and durable write-ahead logging keeps your data safe through unexpected crashes. A SOC 2 Type 1 audit is underway.
